Welcome to Cemetrees, a very occasional blog by professional genealogist and local historian Dr Hilda Maclean. The aim of this blog is to promote the innovative use of death and cemetery records in family and local history. Although most of the blogs are centred on Queensland, Australia, the methodologies presented may be transferable to other regions.
This first series of blogs is the result of many years of research by the author on the death, burial and exhumation of Chinese in colonial Queensland.
